Welcome to the Quantum Factor Life Enhancement Series………..

Has someone burst your bubble?

We all have dreams, particularly when we are young and vulnerable.  Have you had the experience of telling someone about dreams that you have in your heart, only to have them shoot them down in flames?

They tell you all the reasons why you will fail, or that it can’t be done and will never happen, or that someone else tried that and went broke.  Reluctantly you may pack your dream away in some bottom drawer at the back of your mind, making their predictions your reality.

This has happened to me a number of times, more than most, in fact, as I am a big dreamer.

The first time that I can remember was when I was eight or nine years old.  I was asked to stand up in class at school to sing a song.  I loved singing and thought that I was at least okay.  After attempting to sing just the first line, the teacher ordered me to sit down and never sing in his class again.  He said that I sang so badly and out of tune that he couldn’t bear to listen.

Now you can imagine the effect of this on a child and in front of the whole class.  It is probably true that I do find it difficult to hold a tune.   It is definitely not one of my talents.  Even so, a couple of years later I was asked to join the church choir, so I must have improved.  I didn’t let this teacher completely kill my confidence to sing but even to this day whenever I sing his words come straight into my mind.

My most recent experience was a while ago when I told a friend that my hearts desire was to write articles or books that would help other people.  His response was that I was wasting my time, I was unknown, and no-one would be interested in what I have to say.

Although I found this hurtful, I have always been a person who can bounce back and one who would succeed just to prove the naysayer wrong.

But the same isn’t true of everyone and there must be a highway of broken dreams that span around the globe, crushed by the thoughtless and careless words of others.

Being me, it made me even more determined to follow my heart and have a go anyway.  To date I have written in many different forms and have had the pleasure of positive feedback from readers or listeners that have enjoyed my work, and who have told me how helpful my words have been to them.

We all have different dreams and would like to share them.  I think that we have to be careful to whom we reveal our deepest thoughts and desires.  Are they positive people?  Can they keep our confidences?  Are they encouragers?

These are the type of questions we need to ask, whether family or friends.  We need to assess the answers before we impart one word of our ideas.

I’m very blessed to have a friend who is a great encourager and who has proven over many years that she can and does keep my confidences secret.  We all need to have a friend like this and I encourage you to find that special person who will be your support and foundation on which your can build your dreams.

Simple diet changes to lose weight and relieve aches and pains!

As we age we tend to get more aches and pains, our stomach seems to grow of its own accord, we put on weight and often we have inflammation in our joints.

If this describes you then I have good news!  I came across an old book in a charity book sale that offered solutions to all these problems.  In the book it advises that a lot of these symptoms are due to the consumption of yeast products.  The yeast gradually overloads the body and the symptoms start to develop after a few years.  Hence the connection to getting older.

I have tried it myself and have tested the theory on friends over the past five weeks and it really does work.  It means that you have to stop eating yeast filled food products such as bread, cakes, biscuits and also beer and mushrooms.  It also advises that you don’t eat leftovers, even if left in the fridge.  Leftovers grow a mould very quickly that contains yeast that you can’t detect by looking at the food.  It advises that any leftovers are frozen straight away and then re-heated.

If you think about it, yeast makes bread rise and the famous beer belly is well known.  Maybe the yeast does the same to our body as it does in the food.

I have added an extra rule that has also been really helpful.  That is to buy only lactose free milk and yogurts.  They are easily found in the supermarket, usually on the top shelf.  You can buy both full cream and low fat milk.  These are just as creamy as the normal products but the lactose has been pre-broken down for you, making them easier to digest.

Of the people who have eliminated the above for five weeks the following as occurred:

Bloating of the stomach reduced by 30-40 mms

Weight loss average was 2-3 kilos

Great improvement of general inflammation

Significant reduction in aches and pains

This is not a diet as such.  It is just avoiding the yeast and lactose products and substituting alternatives.  You can still eat as much of the other foods as you normally do.  It does take a little time to get used to not eating bread and of course means a bit more cooking, but well worth the effort.

Whatever age you are you can benefit from eliminating yeast and lactose from your diet.

If you decide to try this method, please email me and let me know the results.

How to Encourage Yourself

When people put you down either intentionally or otherwise you need to develop the skills to be your own encourager.

Firstly, always believe in yourself.  You know yourself better then any one else and you have the memory of the many times that you have succeeded in life.  You can believe in yourself because in the past you have been an over-comer, and what you have achieved in the past you can achieve again.

Value what you already have.  This includes your family and friends, your health, the roof over your head and enough food to eat.  Many people in other parts of the world lack some or all of these things.  If you have them you are truly blessed.  In fact if you have these things then you are in the top five percent of the world’s population.

When you notice thoughts of self criticism and other negative grievances arise then stop and immediately replace those thoughts with helpful, positive ones.  Tell yourself that you are a unique person who deserves to be loved and especially to love yourself.  Use affirmations that target particular habitually adverse thoughts.

Have confidence and faith in your own intuition.  That gut feeling is so often right.  You may tend to push those gut feelings away if they don’t fit in with your core beliefs.  Try to recognize this type of self sabotage and act on your intuition.

The more you use your intuition the more reliable it becomes.

You will make mistakes in life.  If you don’t then you must be the most boring person in the world, not attempting anything new, and never venturing out of your comfort zone.  Quickly forgive yourself for those mistakes, and move on.  Dwelling on past errors is a complete waste of time, energy and emotion.  Learn from them and move on.

Allow yourself to be inspired and creative.  Actively seek new experiences that will awaken the artist in you.  Become passionate about new areas and new projects.  Give yourself time to dream and explore new possibilities.

I encourage you to become a self encourager, but also to be an encourager to others.  They will love you for it.

Nothing will ever be attempted, if all possible objections must
first be overcome.
